Winter in My Eyes

Winter is a unique season, a blend of cold weather and hearty warmth. The temperature in Taipei can be quite chilly in the evenings, while during the day it’s often windy. Despite the weather, I eagerly await winter because it brings the joy of the Lunar New Year and the winter vacation.

I eagerly anticipate visiting my grandparents and friends in the village during these holidays. The climate in the south is usually warmer, providing a delightful contrast to the cold weather back home. The visit is filled with joy and warmth, not only from the sunny weather but also from the love of family and friends.

In the city, I find myself reading a lot during winter due to the cold weather outside. Curling up with a good book, I find solace in the warmth of my room, lost in a world of words and stories. Winter is a time for indoor activities, yet it’s also a time for family reunions and celebrations.

As snowflakes fall naughtily, covering the world in a blanket of white, I am reminded of the old saying, “When winter comes, can spring be far behind?” Despite the cold, there is always the promise of warmer days and new beginnings. Winter, in my eyes, is a time of joy, warmth, and hope.
