Hong Kong and Macao are parts of China in history， but they ere separated from the motherland for so political reasons. China has been getting richer and stronger since its opening to the outside orld. On July 1， 1997， Hong Kong finally returned ho. On December 20， 1999， Macao returned ho， too. Great changes have taken place in both Hong Kong and Macao. It shos the developnt and great strength of our untry.
