Suddenly he felt soone behind him. He turned his head and sa an Italian young man ho quickly alked past him. The man as nearly out of sight hen the Frenchman suddenly found that his atch as gone. He thought that it must be the Italian ho had taken his atch. He decided to follo him and get back the atch.

　　Soon the Frenchman caught up ith the Italian. Neither of them understood the other’s language. The Frenchman frightened the Italian ith his fist(拳头) and pointed at the Italian’s atch. In the end the Italian gave up his atch to the Frenchman.

　　When he returned to the hotel, the Frenchman told his ife hat had happened. He as greatly surprised hen his ife pointed to the atch on the table. No he realized that by mistake he had robbed the atch and it as the Italian’s.
