A Different Roast Every Day
Alan orked in an office in the city. He orked very hard and really anted to take a holiday.
He usually ent to the seaside, but one day he sa an ad（广告） in a nespaper. " Enjoy untry life. Spend a fe eeks at Willo Farm. Good food, fresh air, horse riding, alking, fishing. Good prices (价格)."
"This sounds like a good idea," he thought. "I'll spend a month at Willo Farm. I'll enjoy horse riding, alking and fishing. They'll make a change from sitting by the seaside."
Four days later he returned ho.
"What's rong ith Willo Farm?" his friend Jack asked him. " Didn't you enjoy untry life?"
"Country life as fine," Alan said, "but there as another problem."
"Oh, hat?"
"Well, the first day I as there a sheep died, and e had roast mutton (烤羊肉) for dinner."
"Fresh at is the best."
"I kno, but on the send day a died, and e had roast beef for dinner."
"Lucky you!"
"You don't understand," Alan said. "On the third day a pig died and e had roast pork for dinner."
"A different roast every day," Jack said.
" Let finish," Alan said, " on the fourth day the farr died and I didn't dare to stay for dinner!"
