　　Friends play an important role in our lives, and although e may take the friendship for granted. We often don't clearly understand ho e make friends. While e get on ell ith a number of people, e are usually friends ith only a fe --for example, the average among students is about 6 per person. In all the cases of friendly relationship, to people like one another and enjoy being together, but beyond that, the degree of intimacy beteen them and the reasons for their shared interest vary largely. As e get to kno people e take into acunt things like age, race, enomic nditions, social positions and intelligence. Although these factors are of pri importance, it is more difficult to get on ith people hen there is a marked difference in age and background.
